Our Team

Susan Hunt • Attorney

Susan Hunt is a strategist who loves puzzles and people. She enjoys using this uncommon combination to analyze the many threads of your life, and to listen to your goals and priorities for the future. Then Susan finds the legal solutions that best protect you. She applies this approach to real estate law, small business law and estate planning.

Sue began her career in family law – handling divorces and custody suits. She thought she could make the painful ordeal of divorce less volatile. Soon though, she realized she couldn’t change the system. To escape that negative energy, she transitioned into her current fields – or what she calls “happy law.”

“I’ve had both good and bad personal experiences with the law. So my staff and I are always looking out for you – and protect you like we’d protect our families and ourselves. I don’t mean that as a cliché. We are proactive, thoughtful and thorough when we examine all the possible risks you face. Negating those risks puts a smile on our clients’ faces and ours.”

Sue is originally from Springfield, Illinois, and grew up in the tiny town of Rising Sun, Indiana, but Greensboro, North Carolina, has been her home for the past 22 years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from UNCG, and graduated from Wake Forest Law School. She’s a member of the North Carolina State Bar, and the North Carolina, Greensboro and American Bar Associations.  She is also a member of the Greensboro chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and WealthCounsel, a national organization of Estate Planning Attorneys and financial professionals.

Sue is on the board of directors of the Greensboro Running Club. She’s also an avid traveler and loves photography.

Sarah Reese • Paralegal

Sarah digs details. She is as passionate about paperwork as she is about helping people buy and sell property.

She began as a receptionist for Sue, on a stopover as she worked toward a PE/coaching career. But the law bug bit her. Soon she began handling the research and preparation of all those documents needed in real estate closings.  “I really relish my role in helping people attain their piece of the American dream – buying a house.”

Originally from upstate New York, Sarah moved here with her family in the early 90s. She played volleyball and softball in college and received her degree in exercise and sports study from Guilford College.

Sarah’s skill with people and paperwork makes her sought-after by many attorneys. But she says she likes the upbeat, relaxed atmosphere of Susan Hunt Law. Plus she says she and Sue mesh well. “We’re both half Northerner and half Southerner. We know when to be the tough Yankee and when we need to smile pretty.”
